The weight loss business is a multi-billion dollar empire and they’ve learned that to keep making piles of profits everything they do must make you and I think we are being given what we want and yet nothing could be further from the truth.
Did you know that Japan accepts no food imports from the USA? The reason is that Japan does not consider the unnatural additives and ingredients in our food to be healthy.

Firstly eat when your hungry – There is no reason to starve yourself and its not healthy either. Obviously you should try to eat something healthy and keep away from pre-prepared meals that are full of unnatural ingredients and preservatives.

Listen to your body – Yes your body does talk to you but most of us fail to pick up on the signals. Only eat until you’re full. Over the years we have been conditioned to clear our plates no matter what size our meal. If you focus internally during a meal your body will tell you when it’s full. This is our cue to put down the fork and be proud of ourselves.

Get into the habit of always leaving food on the plate – easier said than done but it sends a very powerful message to the brain.

Eat what you want. Yes I know that is contradictory to everything I’ve said already but think about it. If you go without it, you will crave it more and more until you eventually give in and binge on that chocolate bar that’s been calling you for the last few hours or days. Just be sensible and don’t gorge the whole thing. Ration yourself to a couple of pieces

Don’t weigh yourself. Never has there been a more depressing process than daily weight checks. The results affect our mood which swings up or down depending on whether weight has been gained or lost. Challenge yourself to avoid the scales all together.
